collēctum is an art consultancy firm specialized in art advisory and exhibitions, based in New York City.

Formed by Myrtha Herrera and Maria Teresa Carmona, collēctum cultivates a program devoted to innovation and connoisseurship in the field of contemporary art. We identify and support talented artists, enabling them to attain widespread acclaim and recognition.
collÄ“ctum is based on a flexible, project-based model, in contrast to established galleries and art advisory structures, in order to support both our clients’ and our artists’ in working with a plethora of artists and presenting their work internationally at pivotal moments in their careers. We have created exhibitions in Paris, New York, Mexico City and Madrid.

Myrtha Herrera Almanza holds a Master's degree from Sotheby's Institute of Art and boasts an established career in the arts fields.
She began her professional journey in Taller G, one of the most esteemed architecture firms in Latin America. Her dedication lies in the seamless fusion of art and architecture, a passion that led her to further her education at prestigious institutions. She is a graduate of NYU and has also received specialized training at major auction houses, including Christie's New York, Christie's London, and Sotheby's Institute New York.
This diverse educational background has fortified her profound knowledge of the art world.
Myrtha's career path has taken her to museum shows and galleries across the globe, where she constantly explores and discovers new and emerging artists.

Notably, Myrtha played a pivotal role in the establishment of an office in Mexico City, a strategic move to enhance their focus on the Latin American segment of the business and serve private collectors more effectively. This office serves as a permanent and convenient point of contact for their clients. Today, Myrtha is based in New York, continuing her remarkable journey in the art realm.
MARIA TERESA CARMONA

Maria Teresa Carmona is a consummate art market specialist, holding an MBA from the prestigious University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Her lifelong immersion in the world of art, nurtured by her upbringing, instilled in her a profound connection with art.
She complemented this innate passion by pursuing studies at renowned institutions such as the Rhode Island
School of Design (RISD) and the University of the Arts London (UAL).
Recognizing the synergy between art and commerce, Maria majored in economics to lay a.strong foundation for her
career. Subsequently, she delved deeper into the art world by studying art markets and contemporary art at the world-renowned Sotheby's Institute in New York.
Maria's unique blend of art knowledge and business acumen positions her as the ideal partner for both institutional and private clients and collectors. Her multifaceted background equips her to navigate the intricacies of the art market and
deliver valuable insights and solutions to her clients.
